This giant mushroom popped up in our yard the other day. Jesse and I went out to inspect it today. Jesse noted how it differed in appearance from the Mario Kart mushrooms.
This thing is very large.

we have more fungi and weeds than grass! he would have a ball in our yard!!! ;)
Impressive! It's been nice weather for mushroom growing. I've been finding ones in my yard that look like button mushrooms only the caps are a dark reddish-brown color and the stems are neon yellow. They are hard to spot so keeping my kids away from them has been a challenge. Anyone know what kind they are?
i may have to steal this title! we *HAD* a fungus on our zucchini/squash leaves...but, milk and water sprayed on them works to kill it! who knew? milk and water! two things we always have!!
